SEED project is implementing in Remote Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipality of Rukum East district. The purpose of the project is to conserve environmental resources for a sustainable future. ok at the plastic pollution in some areas of their village and arrange proper waste management. They did not stop there, every week, they were involved in the sanitation program (and planting 200 walnuts and 100 lemon trees in the village. This year, the group have a pipelined initiative of doing organic potato farming on a large scale.
Alike, two groups (Patlibash forest groups, Himali Laligurash, and Sirjana women have planted 200 bamboo, 15 fodder trees (Bayes) and 100 pine trees in the land erosion and water catchment area. Apart from that, six groups conserved the drinking water sources, one group repaired the drainage system, and 14 groups-initiated waste management by using bamboo baskets (doka) and segregating the degradable and non-degradable solid waste.
Hence, the people of Putha Uttarganga are now on the journey for a sustainable environment for the future.
