Rukum East, under the MIC Nepal / SEED Project/UMN, tole-level consultations on the Local Government Annual Budgeting and Planning Process have been initiated across remote communities of Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipality.

These consultations help communities identify their real needs and prepare ward- and settlement-level plans that align with the local government’s budgeting process while ensuring inclusive participation and representation.
The initiative also supports communities, especially in remote areas, to better understand how local budgets are formulated and how they can effectively raise and integrate their needs and priorities into the local government’s annual planning process.
This effort contributes to strengthening accountable local governance and advancing sustainable, community-led development outcomes.
